This will teach you how to download music from YouTube in the highest quality possible.

Things you will need:
1. tsMuxeR - This will be used to separate the audio and video tracks from the file.
2. DownloadHelper (Firefox Addon) or an online video downloader like KeepVid.

Step 1:
Go to YouTube and pick a video you want to extract music from. Make sure you select the highest quality possible for a better audio quality. (720p or 1080p)

Step 2:
Download the video. Copy the video URL then go to www.keepvid.com (or use DownloadHelper) download the highest quality possible in MP4 format.

Step 3:
Separation of audio track. After the video has been downloaded, locate it. Now, locate where you downloaded/installed tsMuxeR. Drag the video file onto tsMuxerGUI.exe

That should open up the software. Now deselect the video track as we do not need it. Next, select ‘Demux’. Then pick the location where you want the audio file to be. Then finally, select ‘Start demuxing’. All steps are shown in the image below.

The file should not take too long to separate (1-2 seconds).

And voila! You’re done. The final track is an .AAC track (better than mp3). If you are unhappy with this, then you may want to follow this extra step and convert it to a .MP3 file, but be warned, you might notice some quality difference as .AAC are better.
